Existing lighting designs

Anish Kapoor

Looking at some of the surfaces and textures found in these images I likened the overall geometric 3d look with some of Anish Kapoor's sculptures. I particularly like the spiked sculpture and hope to use paper mache and origami to simulate these surfaces. I also like the bold use of matte colour.

Initial research

I decided to evolve this project around a particular image I took recently of a cerise flower with outstanding bold stigma. I love the way the stigma stand out and there are so many different textures I could go off from this including spikes and rods.
